September 14, 2013 the Animal Protection League holds Strut Your Mutt, the pledge walk and a Pet Fair in Stockton to rescue animals from euthanasia in the local shelters. Since 1996, not only has this non-profit organization saved thousands of abandoned and stray animals, but it has also provided human education to raise awareness and enlist support from Stockton citizens.
Primary aim of the donor-supported Animal Protection League is animal adoption fosterage and rescue from the shelters. Owing to grants, donations and fundraising, this volunteer organization has launched numerous programs and services aiming to increase animal adoptions, redemption rates, popularize animal responsibility in the area. In addition, the League gained cooperation with similar rescue organizations in Washington, California and Oregon, in such a way saving more and more animals.
This year, Strut Your Mutt in Stockton is going to entertain the guests with a number of features, including doggy swim sessions, doggy swim race, dog contests, a huge raffle, health info, and animal education. During the Fair there will be numerous vendor booths, where the public can purchase doggy stuff or just have a good time. All visitors are encouraged to participate in the features, thus boosting their chances to win prizes.
All interested people are welcomed to visit Strut Your Mutt and give abandoned animals a chance to live in safe, humane environments. The event is going to be held on Saturday, September 14, from 9:00 am – 2 pm in Stockton Victory Park.
