The quest for knowledge never ends in this world. Freethought Day is one for those who break the clutter of thinking’s that evidence of a non-objective nature, such as "feelings" and visions. The D-day is back on October 12, 2013, at 10:00am-6:30pm .This is the 12th anniversary event of like-minded people who are out of the closets gather in a common platform. The event is dotted with speakers who are up to amaze with their provoking thoughts and take you out of déjà vu feelings in life. The speakers include Annie Laurie Gaylor, from “Freedom From Religion Foundation”, Greta Christina, in fame as a Blogger and Author, Jason Frye, the LGBTQ Activist, Heina Dadabhoy of Skepchick as well an activist,Jason Testerman, from Freethought Exchange and last but not the least Neil Wehneman who belongs to the Secular Student Alliance.
There is no dearth of entertainment with Shelley Segal, to please all with his voice as well as lyrics. A laugh riot is on the cards with Keith Lowell Jensen, Comedian joining the show. Poets Victor Harris and Bill Potts are for sure to mesmerize the audience with their sonnets. Authors' and Podcasters Panel which is always a star attraction in this event, include this year Richard Carrier who mulls on “Why I Am Not a Christian”, David Fitzgerald breaking the myths with his talk on “Nailed: Ten Christian Myths that Show Jesus Never Existed at Al”l, Carrie Poppy on “Oh No! Ross and Carrier”, AmyJo Mattheis on “Religion Made me Fat”, Dan Riley about “Generation Atheist” and Andrea Griffith answer all with his “52 Answers to Superstition, Religion, and Ignorance”.This never to miss event has the share from Camp Quest West to Family Fun Zone and event sponsors are Sacramento Coalition of Reason
