On September 20 2013 PFLAG will host the seventh MoFest! 7 film festival.
PFlag is a non-profit organization that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered members of the Stanislaus community. They provide invaluable support the LGBT community and their friends and family with issues like discrimination, civil rights advocacy, enlighten the community around issues involving LBGT.
The festival had a bit of a downtime and finally after 3 years of downtime the festival is going strong again.
Films:
The festival consists of 9 short films spanning a combined timeframe of about 2 hours. The centre piece will be the highly popular YouTube hit “Love is all you need”. A film in world where everything is turned around and the norms of our current sexual orientation is reversed. It is a place where heterosexual is “gross” and all the rules and stigmas are turned head over feet.
The films that will be shown are:
- Finding Franklin.
- Genderfreak.
- Love is all you need?
- Non-Love-song.
- Only always you.
- She said, she said.
- Somewhere only we know.
- Teens like Phil
- Warpaint.
The main purpose of the festival is address issues like unrequited love, gender identity, high school bullying, and a same sex marriage heading towards divorce.
