EmComm East has proposed to conduct Ham fest convention, which has the due sanction of “The American Radio Relay League (ARRL)” and scheduled on September 29, 2013 in St. John Fisher College, 3690 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14618
EmComm East has the expertise to conduct amateur radio emergency communication conventions, from the year 2008 where the maiden conference had the start. The concept of the all-day conference is the brainchild of Monroe County ARES in New York. The presentations here are in varying nature that includes disaster response, communications technologies, parking lot and vehicle displays, and much more. This convention event conducting EmComm East has the support from the American Radio Relay League, the ARRL Atlantic Division, Monroe County Office of Emergency Management, and many others.
This upcoming amateur radio emergency communication convention is going to be one of the premiers among its genre in the North East region. The convention announcement calls for all the amateur radio operators concerned in EmComm to avail this opportunity. The attendees can get exposure to technical topics through training sessions. The opportunity to get to know through the served agencies, and wider interactions that will encompass EmComm operators who will be participating from all over the territory of EmComm East. The Ham operators vehicles can get the required publicity in the venue is yet another feature of this Ham fest convention.
ARRL Chief Operating Officer Harold Kramer participation is the highlight of this convention. His credentials as a WJ1B, a Boston Marathon finish line volunteer on the event of a bombs explosion is notable and expectations are there on discussion of his experience at the event.
