| Description | Traditionally known as the official start to summer, Memorial Day weekend will bring plenty of fun and fireworks to visitors of South Padre Island. Friends, families, and individuals of all ages can watch as the sky lights up and the water sparkles with the reflection of the Island’s dazzling Memorial Day weekend fireworks celebrations. One of three spectacular fireworks displays kicks off bayside on Friday night, May 27th,at 9:15 p.m., and can be seen best on the decks of one of the many bars and restaurants in our “Entertainment District†along Laguna Boulevard. Simultaneously, the weekend’s beachside fireworks display will begin, allowing spectators a chance to enjoy beautiful fireworks on either side of the island at the same time. Beachside fireworks will run through Saturday, May 28th, and can best be enjoyed at the hotels, bars, or restaurants located at the north end of the Island near the Convention Centre. Finally, round out your celebratory Memorial Day weekend in honor of the men and women who have bravely served our country with a special bayside patriotic tribute fireworks showcase accompanied by an upbeat and exciting All-American music soundtrack. Our showcase will feature a beautiful and unique display of very special fireworks including the tremendously gold and glittery brocade crown, huge silver whirl flowers, fun smiley face patterns, and blasts that release thousands of sparkling flowers or bees, and much more! The bayside Memorial Day tribute fireworks display will be taking place on Sunday night, May 29th, at 9:15 p.m. You can keep the fun going all summer long, as bayside fireworks will continue every Thursday and Friday throughout the summer, and beachside fireworks will continue every Friday and Saturday through October. All displays start at 9:15 p.m. |
