| Description | The City of Rio Grande City is hosting a Commemoration event that features the unity of our community during a disaster that affected surrounding areas and our neighbors in Ciudad Camargo and Comales, Tamauipas, Mexico. The unveiling of the exhibit will feature Mr. Tim Smith, Channel 5 Chief Meteorologist and members of the Dr. Mario Ramirez family. The exhibits include canvas reproductions from the Dr. Mario Ramirez UT digital collection and recreated scenes from the gym during the devastation of Hurricane Beulah in September 1967. Date: Tuesday, September 5, 2017 Place: Kelsey Bass Museum and Event Center 101 S.
